What You'll Do
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company''s regular full-time staff, and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule. Major duties include:
Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of the John Deere Electronic Solution Supplier Portal and Supplier Score Card
Assisting in assembling and distributing Supply Management reports for department metrics to Supply Management and MLT (Management Leadership Team)
Assisting and supporting Supply Management Specialists with special projects that support and develop process improvements for the global Supply Management Team
Maintaining material and supplier master file data in the JDES ERP (John Deere Electronic Solutions Enterprise Resource Program) system for assigned commodities
Assisting in the development and maintenance of policies and work instructions for key weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Supply Management team metrics and data reports and Supply Management functions
Assisting in the development and implementation of software tools related to Supply Management, John Deere Supplier Network and suppliers
## Qualifications
What It Takes
We need excellent communicators, who thrive on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT or Pre-Law ; others may qualify. In addition we require:
Must be registered as a full-time student
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Grad date - May 2016 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 and above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Minimum 80% score on Excel assesment
A strong candidate will also have:
Working knowledge of ERP Enterprise Management Program) or MRP (Material Resource Planning) systems
