Description: LSI seeks a full-timeFamily Support Workerfor the Family, Safety, Risk, and Permanency (FSRP) program to provide services in Black Hawk county and the surrounding area.
Duties: Provide family support and crisis intervention to optimize the home environment for children and their parents through education, support and advocacy. Is primarily responsible for facilitating and monitoring supervised family interactions as well as providing transportation.
Meet with assigned families in person via traveling by car to their homes or other community settings and contact by telephone which may occur during normal business hours, after hours, or on weekends.
Qualifications: Qualified applicants are required to have Associate-s of Arts degree plus four years full-time experience in Child Welfare Services.
Preferred applicants will have a Bachelor-s degree in human services or a related field from an accredited four-year college with a minimum of 1 year full-time experience in Child Welfare Services acquired after degree completion.
Child welfare experience includes social casework, therapy, skill development services, direct care to children and families.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
