Position Purpose and Overview:
The Customer Service Associate will be responsible for the following:
Provide quality face-to-face and telephone customer service to agency clients by greeting, screening, routing and assisting those who contact our office.
Assist with inputting data for insurance proposals and client changes.
Typing forms, letters and correspondence.
Assist in scheduling clients for reviews, as well as pulling together the necessary documents for said review.
Assist agency team members in prepping/scanning/imaging paper documents.
Maintain electronic document management systems.

Responsibilities:
processing incoming and outgoing mail, setting up and maintaining files, filing paper records, storage and destruction of paper records, maintaining computer database files, other projects and task as needed.
Position Requirements:
This position requires a highly motivated, organized individual with the ability to:
Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, using correct English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Comprehend and adhere to confidentiality and security provisions.
Produce work that requires extreme accuracy.
Interact with clients in a manner that is consistent with quality, integrity, and customer-service delivery.
Navigate efficiently in a Windows environment and utilize company proprietary database and quoting software.
Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook and other personal computer programs as necessary.
Accurately enter, retrieve, file, generate and/or correct information in various database systems.
Lift and deliver boxes including, but not limited to paper, mail, case files, supplies, etc.

Responsible for tracking and completing continuing education requirements for maintaining insurance licenses.
Prioritize tasks and time to meet established performance goals and critical deadlines.
Work productively in a team environment.
Realize that change is an ongoing part of an insurance office environment and adapt accordingly.
Maintain high attendance and report to work on time.
Ability to multi-task and work in a high-paced environment.
Ability to pass exams within defined timeframe.

The starting salary for a new employee is commensurate with qualified job skills, experience, and insurance licenses held.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
One year of post-high school course work in an accredited secretarial, business, or closely related curriculum; or One year of full-time experience in a customer-service field The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
