Summary:
The Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting operations at our Waterloo facility, working directly under the CFO to ensure financial integrity and drive departmental effectiveness.
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll functions.
Maintain accounting policies and procedures, implementing controls to mitigate risk.
Produce financial reports in compliance with GAAP and provide financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with external accountants for annual reviews and tax reporting.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP reporting systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
10
years of related experience preferred.
CPA or CMA designation preferred.
