JOB SUMMARY: This individual calls on business, industry, and agencies positively promoting Hawkeye Business Training services, while managing a designated portfolio of existing businesses. Conducts needs analyses, writes proposals, coordinates training classes, and serves as an access point for employer related services and programs. Utilizes LERN tools to meet or exceed department goals for sales and growth. Will be actively involved in assisting eligible businesses apply for funds, answer questions for existing and prospective business partners, and occasionally assist in enforcement of grant contractual agreements. Ensures integrity of data input into business software program, including but not limited to communication, contracts, proposals and pricing, instructors, events, room rentals, etc. Creates cooperative partnerships with local industry service providers and professional organizations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business, social/behavioral sciences, human services or related field with three years of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and logically, both orally and in writing. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail while multi-tasking. Ability to work independently as well as with diverse groups. Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products, previous experience with a customer management system preferable. Strong problem solving skills with ability to communicate results clearly. Ability to travel to and from work sites and meetings, days and evenings.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full time position opening with a comprehensive benefits program including health, dental, life, and LTD insurance; a Section 125 plan for medical and dependent care expense; holiday, personal, sick, and vacation leave; and a choice of retirement programs--IPERS (defined benefit) or TIAA-CREF (defined contribution). Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's education and experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
