Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The PSR verifies the reason for the visit, records the appointment and/or arrival of the patient in the SYSTOC case management software. The PSR receives appropriate personal, medical, and financial information from the patient or his/her representative. The PSR is involved in flow of information throughout the clinic and assists staff members as requested. The PSR must be familiar with OSHA and other employment-related regulations. Other duties include filing of medical records, telephone triage and other duties as directed by a supervisor.
Emphasis will be placed on creating a culture of customer-focused service where the actions of every Associate leaves the Patient or Company Client representative with a belief that the Allen Occupational Health Program is focused on: Serving them before they were asked for assistance (initiative), Helping each other (teamwork), Acknowledging their concerns (empathy), Respecting their dignity and privacy (courtesy), Explaining what is happening (communication).
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.
Demonstrated pleasant and customer-focused telephone techniques.
Demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding, operating a copier, fax, printer, scanner, etc.
Experience with clinic forms, worker's compensation, insurance, multi-line telephone systems and computers desired.
Prior secretarial/clerical/receptionist experience desired.
Ability to become proficient in SYSTOC, Word, CareCast and other software programs as implemented.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
