Provides engineering design for the infrastructure for the facility ,grounds and production equipment and processes through both internal and external resources.
Projects are more complex and require integration and coordination of various engineering disciplines.
Provides project management of projects related to the facility infrastructure, production machines, equipment and processes that support the manufacturing and/or distribution operation.
Projects are more complex and may integrate several areas of engineering and require limited.
management of outside design professionals and contractors.
Provides troubleshooting of the facility infrastructure and production equipment to support production, manufacturing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
Responds to critical production down situations affecting manufacturing and/or distribution operations.
Maintains project budget cost control on projects assigned through project cost control system for the unit.
Provides life, safety and building code analysis and supports and implements programs within the organization to prevent injuries and illnesses.
Assists in the identification and resolution of potential environmental, safety, ergonomic and health hazards.
Must Haves:
5 or more years of foundry maintenance responsibilities in a heavy industrial maintenance or engineering environment5 or more years of experience with Industrial Power systems including:
Hydraulic, compressed air, natural gas, and electrical systems.
Good communication and teamwork skillsAbility and willingness to support a multi-shift operational facility.
2 or more years of experience leading and managing projects.
Experience leading others and/or teams.
Experience with the capital justification processWhat Makes You Stand Out?Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
Experience with and strong understanding of processes and equipment related to the green sand molding/casting industry including melting, molding, cleaning, and core making.
Experience managing outside contractors.
Proficiency in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
Visa sponsorship is not available, now, or soon, for this position.
Business casual dress code will need metatarsals for first day.
Manager will start with phone screens but will require onsite interviews before an offer is made.
Position will start onsite on the first day.
Driving of personal vehicle between Waterloo sites is possible.
